The river base at Barton Island was rebuilt around 1990 and continues to serve the present generation of members
Almost all those who had served 2nd Beeston as Group Scoutmaster
were present at the re-opening of these excellent facilies
From the right is Arthur Smedley, Bernard Highton, George Smedley and Bob Cox.
We would be pleased to add the names of the others when advised
Revd. Arnold Otway and the Revd Arthur Rumble, then deceased, were the first to serve as GSM.
