In front, carrying the mace, is Norman Frank Fearn - known as Frank. He was then about sixteen and had originally joined the Beeston Company in 1934.
The mace appears to have been borrowed for the occasion from Beeston Toreadors Band, of which Frank was then the Drum Major.
