Samuel Smith

  Noted events in his life were:

• Occupation: general medical practioner (FRCS E), at the time of the census in March 1851. ⁴⁰¹ He was then living at 20 Park Place, Leeds. His married son George, also a GP, and his family were living with him as was his unmarried daughter Amelia. Although described as "married", his wife was not present. There was also a medical pupil and four servants in the household.

Samuel married Amelia Pyemont, daughter of George Pyemont and Amelia Sanders. (Amelia Pyemont was baptised on 10 Jan 1796 in Pontefract, Yorks ⁴⁰².)
