Thomas Whitt

  Noted events in his life were:

• Occupation: apprentice shoemaker, at the time of the census in June 1841. ²³⁴ He was then living at home with his parents and siblings at Walker Street, Sneinton, Notts

• Occupation: cordwainer, by the time of the census in March 1851. ²³⁵ He was then living at West Street, Sneinton with his wife and their son.

• Occupation: boot maker, at the time of the census in April 1871. ²³⁶ He was then living with his four surviving children at Walker Street, Sneinton. He was described as "Married" although no wife is present. His wife Charlotte had died in 1869.

Thomas married Charlotte Freeman on 20 Jul 1847 in Sneinton (St Stephens), Notts.²³ (Charlotte Freeman was born circa 1825 in Sneinton, Notts,²³¹ died in Jul 1869 and was buried on 25 Jul 1869 in Sneinton (St Stephens), Notts.)
