• Education: at Derby and Rossall Schools and Trinity College, Cambridge. 3 He was Admiited pens. at Trinity on June 2, 1879 and Matriculated at Michaelmas 1879; he graduated as Bachelor of Arts in 1883 and Master of Arts in 1887.

• Residence: Springfield Villa, Forest Road, Loughborough, Leics, in 1879, at the time of his Admission to Cambridge. 3 This was the year following his father's death.

• Residence: Trinity College, Cambridge where he was an Undergraduate, at the time of the census in April 1881. 7

• Occupation: Church of England clergyman. 8 He was Ordained deacon at York in 1883 and priest, 1884. He was Curate of Holy Trinity, Goodramgate, York from 1883 to 1887 and Curate of Scarborough from 1887 to 1888. From 1888 to 1918 he was Rector of East Leake, Notts and was Rural Dean of West Bingham from 1911 to 1918. In 1918 he became Rector of Tollerton, Notts, a position he held up to 1924. He edited the Southwell Diocesan Calendar in 1924 and 1925 and oversaw publications for the Diocise of Southwell and Lincoln in 1925. Later he lived at Woodhall Spa, Lincs. He was the author of History of East Leake and History of Tollerton.
