• Occupation: auctioneer, at the time of the census in April 1881. ¹³³ He was then living at 9 Baker Street, Nottingham with his wife, four children and a servant. He appears, based on the records of his children's baptisms, to have taken up this occupation in about 1876.

Thomas married Annie Hardy, daughter of John Hardy and Mary, on 26 Oct 1869 in Nottingham (Holy Trinity).²⁹ (Annie Hardy was born circa 1849 in Nottingham ^134,135.)
