Noted events in his life were:
• Occupation: Curate of Whitwick, Leicestershire, at the time of the census in April 1871. 57 He was then living with his parents, siblings, nieces and nephews at the Vivarage, Whitwick. His father was Vicar of the Parish.
• Occupation: acting Chaplain of St John's, Buenos Aires, Argentina, from March 1879, for 8½ months. 58 He was standing in for the Rev. Francis Smith while he went on leave. It is tempting to believe that the two were related.
• Residence: Straits Settlement, around 1893 and possibly before and after. 59 It appears that he was in the country, furthering his Ministry. His second child was born there in 1893, he and his wife cannot be found in England at the time of the 1891 census and he is not present with his family in 1901, at their home in Woodhall Spa.
• Probate, 8 Dec 1906, Lincoln Probate Registry. 447 His estate was valued at £521; Cyril John WILLIAMS, physician, was appointed Executor.
Francis married Blanche Mary Oldrini, daughter of Thomas John Oldrini and Maria Elizabeth Drage, on 5 Apr 1888 in Beeston Parish Church, Notts 23.,53 (Blanche Mary Oldrini was born circa 1866 in Beeston, Notts 60,61 and was baptised on 7 Mar 1866 in Beeston Parish Church, Notts 11.)
