• Occupation: accountant's clerk, at the time of the census in April 1911. 8 9 He was by then living with his parents at 'The Limes', Shearing Hill, Gedling , Notts. His employer was declred as Rogers, Son & Page when he enlisted in the Territorial Force in October 1913.

• Military Service: as a Private with the Army Service Corps during the Great War. 9 He enlisted with the Notts & Derby Army Service Corps (Territorial Force) on 1 November 1919. He went to France on 28 Feb 1915, until 28 Feb 1919. He was demobilised on 25 April 1919.

He was awared the 1915 Star, British Medal, Victory Medal and the Territorial Force War Medal.

• Residence: 58 Tavistock Drive, Mapperley Park, Nottingham, at the time of his death in January 1949. 6

• Probate: by Dulcie Roberts Whitt (widow), 26 Feb 1949, Nottingham Probate Registry. 6 His estate was valued at £2,806 11s.
